Funding Your Club
LUSU provides an annual Club Grant and may provide additional funding for eligible club events, projects, or activities.
Funding must be requested and approved before the club spends the money.
Which Request Should You Use?
Budget Request
Use a Budget Request to request your club’s annual $200 Club Grant.
Funding Request
Use a Funding Request to request additional financial support from LUSU for a special event, activity, or project.
Purchase Request
A Purchase Request does not provide new funding. It uses money already available in the club’s account to reimburse a member or pay an expense.
Annual Club Grant
An approved club may request its annual $200 Club Grant after reaching the required number of members:
- Thunder Bay: At least 20 approved club members.
- Orillia and Barrie: At least 10 approved club members.
Members must be listed and approved on the club’s Clubs Den roster. Registration or ratification does not automatically make a club eligible for funding if the funding membership requirement has not been met.

A club may submit a Funding Request for additional support toward a special event, project, or club activity.
Funding Requests must be submitted before the club spends or commits the money. Include original, itemized quotes or invoices showing the anticipated cost.
