Active status is granted to clubs that follow the policies and expectations set by LUSU Clubs. This ensures appropriate conduct and operations, while also protecting both the club and LUSU as an organization.
Clubs in active status are eligible for the full range of services and support provided by LUSU.
To maintain active status, clubs must:
- Register (new clubs) or re-register (returning clubs) annually through clubsden.lusu.ca
- Keep your club roster current on clubsden.lusu.ca and notify LUSU Clubs staff of any changes within your officer team or club structure.
- Ensure all events and activities (both on and off campus) are submitted through clubsden.lusu.ca.
- This ensures your club remains visible and active on the platform, and allows officer participation to be recorded on the Involvement Record.
- Follow LUSU event planning policies when organizing and hosting Club activities.
- Adhere to poster and advertisement guidelines.
- Apply risk management strategies during all club operations and events.
- Comply with the Club Finance processes.
- Act as a positive representative of the Lakehead University and LUSU community, supporting a welcoming and respectful campus environment.
